Hello, hello book dragons. Today I bring you my top 10 top reads of 2020. I hate to even say the year but with being locked away in your house with nowhere to go gave me some extra reading time. I declare 2020 as my year I fell in love with audiobooks and contemporary romance. That is what I read most of because they were light, quick and enjoyable reads. But I can never forget my beloved fantasy.
I will admit… I read A LOT of fanfics. I went down a Dramione rabbit hole and couldn’t get out. Then I read some Kylo Ren ones. I want to clarify that some of those fanfics were better than some published novels. I added two to my goodreads because they were lengthy and I didn’t spend days reading them for nothing. They took effort. I also discovered DracoTok and have never looked back. Let’s just say I love DRACO OKAY. More like Tom Felton. Leave me be.
Without further ado, here are my favorites! Not listed in any particular order because that is just too much for my heart to handle. Can anyone say… anxiety? But I will give a snippet on why I love these so much.
Let’s just say I am trash for a bi, tragic boy. Complete and utter trash. The first book was seriously my favorite read of 2019.
The best enemies to lovers in the contemporary world. Can’t change my mind. Full review here!
A English teacher by day and a sexy pirate by night. GIVE ME MORE. The MC was amazing also. Here is my full review!
Honestly, the first book in this series was *chefs kiss*. The reason I chose this one was because….. NIK NIK NIK. Bad boy with snark and a neck tattoo. Um, yes please. Also, SCI FI.
Best friends to enemies that get stranded out in the wilderness on a camping trip. THIS WAS SO GOOD. I also have a spot for rocker boys. Sigh. I didn’t live out my emo phase. Okay?!
This is set in my home state so major points already. The depth and redemption in this though is DEEP and just wow. It speaks volume about society and ranks.
I actually posted a review for this last year. Find it here! I have NEVER experienced an emotional rollercoaster like this. Hardin Scott has my whole heart.
Dystopian isn’t my favorite. But, but this book. It is so complex and gritty. Just trust me on this one and read it. READ IT.
Okay, you know I couldn’t stop at 10. So here are a couple of honorable mentions.
This is actually a reread. It is my comfort read. If you do not then you will know. This is my favorite book EVER. I was meant to live in Victorian England and have Darcy to tell me how ardently he loves me. Sigh. Sigh again.
I become obsessed with the new movie and had to read this immediately. It, of course, didn’t disappoint.
Grey. Grey. And Grey. I would run off and marry him in a heartbeat. Give me 10 minutes to say bye to my family. Also, I enjoyed how the author wrote Harper.
I mean I read a lot of awesome books last year but I will stop there. 2021 is already starting off great, reading wise. I am actually refraining from already rereading one I just finished. Oh the joys of being a bookworm.
Have you read any of these? I’d love to know your thoughts!

Indeed he is! I enjoyed the first book but was disappointed they strayed a little far from the books. The second movie wasn’t great. I was a little disappointed.

It’s been awhile since I read the books, so I had very little idea what happened so I enjoyed it immensely. The best kind of guilty pleasure movie haha. I’ve been recommending it to everyone 😜
