Three Day Lyrical Challenge | Day 1

I have seen this floating around the blogosphere here lately. Thank you Ashes Books & Bobs for the tag! Since this is December I have decided to go with some of my favorite Christmas songs. I love Christmas music and could honestly listen to it year round.

THE RULES:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Share one of your favorite song/lyrics one at a time for three days.
  3. Nominate three other bloggers each day.

Day One: Frank Sinatra – The Christmas Song

I love classic Christmas music. Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby especially.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yule-tide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa’s on his way
He’s loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother’s child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you

Thanks so much for the tag, I haven’t seen this one floating around before but I love music as much as I love reading so now I get to share some of my favourite songs as well as my favourite books on my blog! 😀
Great pick, and a very appropriate one for this time of year too. 🙂
